OUR MISSION

The Resilient Informational and Operational Technologies Lab (RIOT) at the University of Arkansas focuses on advancing cybersecurity for critical infrastructure through innovative research in embedded system design, FPGA technology, and power electronics. Our mission is to develop robust solutions that enhance the resilience of industrial systems against cyber threats. We collaborate closely with industry and governmental partners, prioritize mentorship in student organizations, and engage in K-12 outreach to foster the next generation of cybersecurity leaders.

RIOT Lab was established in 2023 as an extension of the National Center for Reliable Electric Power Transmission (NCREPT). This lab hosts a number of professors, PhD students, graduate students, and undergraduate students.
